Touch-Free BMW Service

Thank you for choosing BMW of Tuscaloosa for your vehicle's service needs. With the use of appointment Self Check-In, Videos, and E-Payment we can easily provide for your service needs in a convenient way with minimal physical interaction. While we enjoy engaging with our customers, we recognize that this convenience model is efficient for both our team and our customers, and allows our clients to continue to enjoy the comforts of their own home while their vehicle is with us. Please note, we are discouraging waiting at the dealership and will be happy to arrange picking up your vehicle, servicing it at our shop, and deliver it back to you when the service is complete. We will sanitize your vehicle upon entering your vehicle and when returning back to you. In order to help our customers better understand this convenient process, and to know what to expect, we have outlined the touchfree service below:


1. Schedule Service

Customers may schedule a service appointment by using our website or by calling 205-345-9811. Our current Service and Parts hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM and Saturdays 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

2. Self Check-In & Vehicle Drop-Off

  • 24 hours before your appointment, you will receive an email and/or text message that includes a link to our new Self Check-In feature. Completing the check-in should happen on the day of your appointment upon arrival at the dealership or prior to our valet driver arrives at your location to pick the vehicle up.
  • You must access this link to give us consent to begin servicing your vehicle.
  • Vehicle should be pulled into the service drive (during business hours) or parked in one of our customer parking spots near Service Department doors (after business hours).
  • Customers should place their key into available envelopes at dropbox located to the right of our service door; envelope also has an area for customers to write their contact information.

If customers utilize dropbox during business hours for key drop-off, we ask that you please call and notify our service department, 205-345-9811, that your vehicle is here.

3. Determine Vehicle Services

  • Once our service department has read customer notes and the vehicle key output is read for service needs, a video of the service inspection will be recorded by a BMW Technician and sent to the customer for review.
  • A Service Advisor will call the customer to discuss vehicle services needed and will provide an estimate for those services via text, email, or phone.

4. Service Vehicle

  • Once customer gives the affirmation to proceed, the vehicle will be serviced in our bay by one of our BMW Certified Technicians
  • During the service process, customers will receive text or email status updates. Any additional repairs or needed services discovered by the BMW Technician will be discussed with the customer by their Service Advisor
  • As always, at completion of service, customer vehicle will wiped down and sanitized on interior and will receive a complimentary service wash.

5. E-Invoicing

  • Once service operations are completed, an electronic invoice will be generated and sent to customer via email and/or text message
  • The invoice may be paid electronically by using a smartphone or computer; payments are also accepted in person. All electronic invoices require a signature, even if no payment is due (warranty issue), customers will need to ensure they sign off on all invoices received

6. Key Return
