2023 BMW X1
The BMW X1 is a capable SUV in the BMW lineup. The small crossover has a sleek exterior look and offers nimble handling. For the 2023 model year, the X1 receives a complete makeover with changes inside and out. A new, more powerful turbo four-cylinder engine sits under the hood, and the larger exterior dimensions give passengers more room in the cabin. Here's a look at some of the details for the 2023 BMW X1.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
BMW offers the X1 in one well-equipped trim level. The xDrive28i comes with 18-inch wheels, a power liftgate, automatic LED headlights, LED taillights, and disc brakes that will automatically dry themselves when driving in the rain. The X1 also comes standard with heated side exterior mirrors, integrated turn signals, and a power rear liftgate. BMW offers several packages to add features. The Convenience Package has a panoramic sunroof, and the xLine Package comes with unique 18-inch wheels and unique exterior trim elements. Add the M Sport Package for aerodynamic bumpers, adaptive suspension dampers, and gloss black exterior trim.
Engine (Power)
The upgraded powertrain for the 2023 X1 is a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder gas engine that puts out 241 horsepower and generates 295 pound-feet of torque. It comes standard with all-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Performance
With the extra horsepower the 2023 X1 gets from its new powertrain, this vehicle can propel up to 60 mph in just 6.2 seconds. BMW also redesigned the suspension to improve handling and make it feel more stable when taking tight corners. The optional M Sport Package adds even more performance-improving features.
Interior
There are two rows of seats and room for up to five in the X1. The 2023 model has more passenger space than the previous generation, and the cabin has a modern and upscale feel. It comes with dual-zone automatic climate control, configurable ambient cabin lighting, faux-leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, and push-button start. Add the M Sport Package for a sport steering wheel with paddle shifters and sport front seats, or the xLine package to cover the dashboard in imitation leather and upgrade the interior trim elements. Heated front seats are available as an option.
Technology features include a 10.7-inch touch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and integrated navigation. The Convenience Package adds wireless charging, and the Premium Package comes with a 12-speaker Harman Kardon stereo, an augmented reality overlay for the navigation system, and a head-up display.
Safety Features
You'll get a comprehensive list of standard safety systems with the 2023 BMW X1. It comes with forward collision warning with automatic braking, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-departure warning. It also comes standard with front and rear parking sensors. Add the Premium Package for a 360-degree surround view camera, an automatic braking function for the front and rear parking sensors, and an automated parking system. The optional Driving Assistance Package comes with adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, front cross-traffic alert, and a low-speed hands-free driving feature.
